Is a medical procedure that was first invented by Dr Charles Runels in America in 2012 and then introduced to the middle east and Dubai in 2015 by Dr Shawket Alkhayal who modified and standardized the procedure to enhance the results.
It involves injecting platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the corpora of the penis. PRP is derived from the patient's own blood and contains growth factors that promotes tissue repair and regeneration.
The P-Shot is given as a treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED) or to enhance sexual performance. The activated Platelets repairs the smooth muscle of the erectile tissues and stimulate the growth of new blood vessels, improve circulation, and enhance sensitivity, leading to improved erectile function and sexual satisfaction.
The P-Shot procedure typically begins with the extraction of a small amount of blood from the patient's arm. The blood is then processed to isolate a concentrated platelet-rich plasma, which is then injected after activation into specific areas of the penis using a fine needle. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia and takes about 30 minutes to complete.
The procedure has been shown in many trials to be safe and effective in more than 80% of patients when prepared with a special platelet separator.
